FAQ

Who is this summit for? What if I don’t feel tech-savvy?

Whether you’re just starting out or are a self-identified tech geek like us (😉), you’ll discover tons of tips to incorporate technology into your work so you can get the right gear, prepare better, and offer accurate, high-quality interpreting to your clients.

Is this a live event?

The Innovation in Interpreting Summit took place from March 7-9, 2023 and featured presentations and panels with over 20 internationally-renowned experts. Missed it or want to watch a session again? No worries! You can purchase the replays to unlock access to the presentations and panels!

How long will I have access?

At least twelve months, which gives you plenty of time to watch the videos as many times as you’d like. 😁

How long are the presentations?

Language professionals are busy, which is why we and our speakers packed as many actionable tips as possible into nearly two dozen 15-20 minute presentations.

The replay of the Ask the experts session is around 1 hour long.

The replays include a worksheet, captions, transcript and podcast for each presentation so you can take notes and kick into action.

Are the videos captioned or transcribed? Is interpretation available?

We are firmly committed to accessibility. English captions are available for every presentation. All panels were interpreted into International Sign, and live English captions are available for all panels, the Kick-Off Call, and the Closing Call.

Do I get a certificate of participation?

The 2023 Innovation in Interpreting Summit replays are hosted on techforword’s private learning platform.

After watching all the videos, you’ll receive a certificate of participation for 10 hours of professional development.

How much are the replays?

99€ or two installments of 50€ each.

I still have questions!

No problem! Shoot us an email and we'll get back to you within 3 business days.

Why should I attend yet another online training event?

We know: There are TONS of workshops, webinars, and training courses out there. Figuring out which ones are actually any good can be overwhelming.

So why is this event worth it?

First, this summit was created by interpreters, for interpreters. Your co-hosts have spent years exploring cutting-edge tools and boiling down that learning into easy-to-digest knowledge.

We think online learning should be fun, which is why this summit will include all kinds of interactive events, including networking calls, co-working sessions, live panels, Q&A with speakers, a private online community, and even a bingo game where you can win tons of great prizes!

We know you’re busy, which is why we’re keeping the presentations short and sweet. And since the techforword community spans the globe, presentations will be available on-demand, so you can fit them in at the time that works best for you - even if that’s in between two interpreting shifts or while you’re out walking the dog. 😆

The program included incredible speakers and innovative ideas that will help you take your interpreting to the next level. But we’re not here to throw tons of information at you and leave you feeling overwhelmed. Instead, we’ve organized sessions and accompanying worksheets so you can walk away from this summit with simple, practical tips to make you more confident, tech-savvy and professional - right away.
